Long-stay visas for religious activities are granted to foreigners, upon request, by the diplomatic missions and consular offices of Romania in the country where they have their residence or domicile, under the following conditions:

a)the existence of the approval of the State Secretariat for Cults. The approval is given to foreigners who carry out similar activities in their country of origin or residence after consulting the national counter terrorism authority;

b)proof of the quality of representative of a religious organization legally established in Romania;

c)proof of living space and means of subsistence at the level of 3 average salaries on the national economy;

d)proof of medical insurance and that he/she does not suffer from diseases which may endanger public health;

e)submission of the criminal record certificate or of another document of the same legal value issued by the authorities of the foreigner’s country of origin.
